AMJ vice-president Tahir Munshi was happy with the turnout at the 41st Jalsa Salana.
He said there were guest speakers at the day's function who would speak on the theme "Respect for other religions from our own religious perspective".
He said such a theme was needed in light of the religious insecurity felt in the world.
"Our world-wide Ahmadiyya movement in Islam seeks to bring about, peace, and harmony in the world," Mr Munshi said.
"If we achieve in bringing about religious peace in any small way, we would be laying the foundation for peace in the world which is currently growing restless through fear and lack of trust in the future.
"Interfaith sessions of this nature will build bridges of understanding among people of different religious faiths," he said.
The convention was attended by the Ambassador of the United States of America Steven McGann, Citizen's Constitutional Forum's chief executive Reverend Akuila Yabaki, and Arya Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji's president Pundit Bhuwan Dutt.
The convention ended yesterday.
